Attribute 5: Develop and promote professional, inclusive relationships with all learners in their care, relevant employers and the wider community

Evaluation of EMTC activities

One of the Key Evaluative Questions for the EER review was How well do programmes and activities match the needs to learners and other stakeholders (KEQ 3)?  In order to answer this question I examined how EMTC gains input from its stakeholders (including learners).  I also compiled survey results from learners on the relevancy of EMTC's programmes and their level of satisfaction with their experience at EMTC. I then evaluated how EMTC was endeavouring to meet the needs of both stakeholders and learners through our programmes.

Key Evaluative Question 5 in the same report asked the question How well are learners guided and supported? In answering this question I examined the initiatives EMTC has implemented in order to both guide potential learners into the right programme of study, and to support them during their time at EMTC.  This included a list of initiatives set in place to minimise barriers for learners and how each programme interviews and supports their learners.

Relationship with primary stakeholder

During 2014 I was also involved in gaining input from EMTC's primary stakeholder (Elim Christian Centre Auckland who owns EMTC).  This input was gained in order to begin formulating an overall EMTC Graduate Profile from which programme redevelopment under the new TRoQ framework could begin to take place during 2015.

Individual meetings were held with the Senior Pastor of ECC and the three campus Pastors.  They were each asked the question: What do you see a successful EMTC student to be like when they graduate? Following these meetings, I compiled a list of common attributes.  This will form the basis for future programme alignment.
